How Discount Calculation Works

The discount on a product is calculated using a simple formula:

Discount Amount = Original Price × (Discount % ÷ 100)

Final Price = Original Price − Discount Amount

For example, if an item costs ₹2,000 and has a 25% discount:

• Discount Amount = ₹2,000 × 0.25 = ₹500
• Final Price = ₹2,000 − ₹500 = ₹1,500

Understanding Buy X Get Y Free Deals

These offers give you free items when you buy a set quantity. The effective discount is:

Effective Discount = (Free Qty ÷ Total Qty) × 100

So "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" means you get 3 items but pay for 2, which is a 33.3% discount.
